Highest civilian award

published by the Eastbourne Herald in November 2002

THE MOTHER of a German man now living in Eastbourne with his family has been awarded one of the highest civilian awards in Germany for her dedication over the years in caring for her severely handicapped 42-year-old son and her own 92-year-old ill mother.

Irmgard Schenkelberg (65) has been caring for her son Rainer who has been handicapped from birth and her own mother, who is very ill with artisclerosis. The Minister President of Rhineland-Palatinate on behalf of the President of the Federal Republic, Herr Rau, has bestowed the honour on her in recognition of the dedication she has shown in her nursing over a number of years. As a mark of German esteem, he invited Frau Schenkelberg to the Government Buildings in Mainz to receive the honour, which proclaims her a Bearer of the German Federal Service Order’s Federal Service Cross on Ribbon of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Award afforded to ordinary citizens of Germany.

The District Administrator, Herr Weinand, said: "The President of the Federal Republic of Germany believes that Irmgard Schenkelberg was and is an inspiration to German society where help and care to fellow beings is concerned.”

Frau Schenkelberg's son Stefan lives with his wife Regina Susann Schenkelberg and children since 2000 in Eastbourne, after corruption and crime in Germany.

Business to Business Foundation in need of legal representation on a "no win no fee" basis.

The founders appeal to a lawyer to come forward in the State of Florida to consider representation in a matter concerning a US-based publishing agent who allegedly is in breach of an agreed contract.

extract of a letter that was sent to the publishing agent on behalf of the founders:

Dear Mr. B.. I refer to the below e-mail sent on February 2001 by you to my partner Stefan Schenkelberg at htm-magazine.co.uk, a division of Schenkelberg Global Solutions Ltd. of which I am an associate executive director. I am concerned at the content of your message considering that your liasison with Stefan was that of a publishing agent working in the context of an autobiographical account. The fact that you have decided to include comments relating to your belief that certain conditions will adversely affect publication or interest, especially regarding autobiographical accounts, indicates that you may not fully grasp the intricacies and purpose of the publishing media and have thus misled Stefan, and probably yourself, from the start. That is regretable and I do not seek to apportion blame. I can fully appreciate and sympathise with the events of and subsequent to 11 September. However, tragedies occur throughout the world every day and if we were to let those dominate our behaviour in a negative way we would all be in a sorry state. I am reminded of the marketing strategy: "lookon all criticism as an opportunity, an opportunity to develop and build better customer loyalty". Co-relating the event of 11 September with you own opinions of the manuscript's content is neither professional nor apt. I regret to say that I also consider your expressed views contrary to the principles of truth and freedom, upon which as you know integreity of the publishing media depends, values that you know are also enshrined in the foundations of your present country's constitution. With this to mind I cannot consider that Stefan's belief in your ability to provide a professional service as a publishing agent was founded on fact and furthermore, I do consider it possible he may have actually been misled by your self description. This too is regretable. US$ 1.314.00 is I consider an unreasonable price for the services you have provided which resulted in your being unable to successfully promote the manuscript. In the light of this I consider it would constitute an expression of good will on your behalf for you to return two thirds of the monies paid to yu with regards the manuscript. Your sincerely and without prejudice. Keith Harris, MD & Executive Editor-Newsmedianews.
